Not short changing Luck here, but 47 drop backs and only one sack.  He is doing a good job maneuvering and him throwing on the run is one of his many gifts.

But 47 drop backs against what was 8 runs, your QB is going to get hit and take some pressure, which is why, as great as he has played (and he is playing great), he has only completed 53% of his passes today.

I'm saying that despite being under whatever sort of pressure due to whatever reason, he is still executing. That completion % could be better no doubt.

Son of a b--ch, watching good offenses makes me weep these days :(

Luckily, there's only one in this game.

lol That playcall at the goaline to Dwayne Allen made me cry inside because I know Shula would never have the creativity to come up with a play like that.

QBs have ceiling because their performance are dependent on the players around them and the ball bouncing their way. Did you watch Peyton play yesterday. That was brutal.

If 438 yards, 2 TD's and 2 int's is brutal, then that just shows you how good Peyton is. And I don't believe that QB's performances are dependent on the players around them. Brady had absolutely nobody last year and still got his team to the divisional championship. And I wouldn't call Richardson, Bradshaw, Hilton, Nicks, and Fleener a very great supporting cast. Good? Absolutely. Great? Absolutely not. They have a decent bunch. Now the Bears, that's an elite supporting cast. Too bad Cutler sucks ass.

Yep. Luck is on the brink of elite. And I don't even call that being a d*ck, I call that being a hard leader. I see Brady and Peyton be a d*ck to everybody, but their teammates always respond to them so it must work.

You can only do that if you are performing. If you are not, it will create friction in the locker room, like in SEA and WAS with Wilson and RG3 respectively.

Who does he have this year apart from Gronk?

This is where great coaching comes to play as well. Notice how fast these plays are established. There's so much fluidity. Luck is very good but his OC is not letting the Giants' pass rush dictate the game. Look at all his fugging check downs. Andrew completes one to Hilton and he goes for 20+ yards. This is the same poo Clements has done for Rodgers (who also has a subpar OL).

QB decision making also comes into play. If the play is not there, quickly check it down because if the corners are covering deep, the dump off will most likely go for a long gain.

I watched all the episodes of huddleup with Cam Newton. I heard him coaching a kid and telling him if it's supposed to be a long throw, no matter what, keep the ball going downfield. That could explain why he does not take a lot of underneath stuff like he did last year and wants to go deep when he has people open beneath (granted that has been during the last three games because I saw him check down to Fozzy for a huge gain in CIN game)

Nobody. But Gronk being back makes all the difference in the world. It really doesn't matter what you give Brady. He would carry that team no matter what happens because he is just that damn good.

Exactly what I am saying. Good QB play elevates that team. He carried the team last year with no one and this year he just has Gronk with a middle of the pack defense.

Oh, ok. I see where your getting at now. Yeah, that's why I disagreed with Haplo when he said QB's are only as good as the players around them because it is not true at all.
