Panthers believe Hardy innocent, will try to workout extension

I'm going to go into the Tinderbox to run this theory by venom and see what he thinks;

But what if the Panthers paid Nicole Holder for this whole fiasco to drop Greg's asking price down on a long term deal, knowing they'd never be able to afford him without such a bizarre occurrence happening?

#gettlevoodoo

More solid theory than that Gatorade commercial one...

Greg slept with a woman he very much thought he loved that turned out to be a dime store wh0re.

How does he surround himself with trashy people?

Because without posters who sit in judgment of people they've never met and know nothing about, the Huddle would cease to exist.

Let's just say for a moment that we do resign him and it all works out.  He's found innocent, etc etc.  What might be the chances the league will give us a cap credit of $13mil for effing us in the a this year over this whole thing?  Yea, I know slim to none, but I can dream :)  That would go a long way toward fixing our problems, rolling over $19mil instead of just $6 heh.

If Hardy does turn out to be innocent meaning the NFL caused the Panthers to waste 13 million in cap space then they should allow us an extra 13 million next year.  They won't do it, but it would be the right thing to do.

So we are having this dance again.  Had we let Hardy walk like we should have, we could have signed a LT, re-signed Mitchell to play with DeCoud, maybe signed a receiver worth his salt, and who knows else.  Now we want to throw some more cash towards Hardy, and have Bell at LT for another 10 years.  Sounds like a well thought out plan.

It's easy to say we should have let him walk since he wasn't on the field.  Had he been playing this whole time.....I doubt you're making that statement.

If we resign Hardy then CJ is probably gone. He probably won't command a huge deal either. I agree though getting him back shouldn't be at the expense of the team. I have to believe we are taking an OT round 1 next year. We'll also have to start thinking about extending Norman if he continues to play well. Pretty sure next year is his last.
