Ruff's 2015 Midseason Mock Offseason and Draft

Pretty sure performance doesn't factor into comp picks. I think it's mostly contract+playing time. I think we'll get a couple, maybe 1 as high as 4th. They won't be significant. Contract+playing time for Capt, Ginn, Lafell, Mitchell >>> the FA scrubs we signed this year, so it'll be something.

Yeah i'm not too sure to be honest, i hope you're right. It would be awesome to get an extra 4th. We need all the extra picks we can get.

Yeah my first thought was where's Trai.

If we're drafting high, one of the top LTs v. Collins is a tough decision IMO.  I think Collins will be an absolute stud in the NFL.

I can see CJ getting cut the following offseason instead of this one.

I like the player strategy though.

For the comp, I think best case is that we get a 6th and 2 7ths.  6th for LaFell and a 7th for Captain and Mitchell.

We won't get one for Ginn.

It's not an individual player assessed thing.  From what I understand, they basically give a sum value to the guys we lost (based on playing time and contract) and compare it to the sum value of guys we signed and decided what sort of compensation we deserve based on the overall loss of value.  So if their assessment of the value of Mitchell, Munnerlyn, etc to our team were, for example, a 367 and their assessment of the value of Cotchery, Harper, etc are a negative 4 they would then decide what kind of picks would equal that 371 point value.

So we could end up with just 1 comp pick for all the losses, and it be a 3rd or a 4th or a 5th.  Or we could get a 6th and two 7ths.  Nobody knows exactly how their formula works.  I just know players lost aren't evaluated for potential comp picks on an individual basis.
