Why did we sign Ed Dickson?

I have to disagree. We have important positions that are going to need to be addressed soon. Too many expiring contracts and I'm not one to believe that Gettleman is going to use free agency as his friend.

The draft can't replace 20 players.

After being a Panthers fan for 14 years, I can honestly say that this team has never been good at determining who is better and who is not. We had Charles Godfrey on this team for how many years? Kugbila?

Have you seen the lineman he is surrounded by ?  I actually feel sorry for Kalil, he s the only one out there who has a clue what the fruck he s doing.

 

I would consider that but Kalil has actually f'ed up multiple times this season in one-on-one situations...  him getting blown up back into Cam on that horrible QB power call in the goal-to-go situation last game is one example of several.

I didn't say he was a core piece, I said considering the context of this thread, he's a guy you hang onto and you see what happens due to his potential and ability...  Dickson is not. 

 

As far as Ealy, he has improved in the last couple of games, but he still looks invisible for the most part.  If we weren't the Panthers, him being a 2nd round pick would mean something, but we are the Panthers and we have history with guys like Dwayne Jarrett, Keary Colbert, Bruce Nelson, Eric Shelton, Richard Marshall, Everette Brown, Sherrod Martin, Jimmy Clausen, and Amini Silatolu...  So no, I'm not giving him a lifetime contract yet, lol.  He hasn't exactly been impressive to this point.

the core of this team is very good hence our record last year . bad luck, injuries, and a horribly incompetent offensive line have hurt us this year

but two of our most important units (o-line and d-line) have been off this year. O-line out of neglect/no options and d-line due to injuries to charles johnson and inactives hardy and alexander 

 

 

fix those two things, along with adding a couple quality players in the secondary and we're right back

Why is this a question directed about Gettleman? He signed a good quality #2 TE, everyone loved the signing. It's not Gettleman's fault Shula has absolutely no idea how to incorporate him into the offense.

Speak for yourself. I didn't like the signing at all. I wanted Williams to et more playing time. Bwill has looked better than ed this whole season. Complete waste of money. At the very least it could've been spent on a cheap ot. Someone that could've at least competed for the starting role/had experience
