Understanding Cam's situation

3 teams who may offer Cam more money than Carolina and where he would immediately have more success in 2016:

Dallas (Romo is damaged goods and will be 36 before the 2016 season starts)

Arizona (Palmer will also be 36 before the 2016 season starts)

NY Giants (Eli Manning is a UFA in 2016 and will be 35 before the 2016 season)

Carson Palmer is a proven veteran QB who's making no where near what Cam is wanting not a franchise qb. They've had several starting qbs this year....that's my point. We could win with a proven vet.

Russel Wilson barely beat us and we suck. He won last year because he had a great team around him.

And you're the tool again.

He's already made it from 2 organization genius. ..and that team was losing with other bums at QB. So Russell has something to do with the win.

Also you might want to check Wilson numbers and QB rating before people realize how stupid you truly are.

Serious question, why is it when ANYBODY (media, huddlers, opposing fans, etc.) points out Cam's continuous flaws, you people get all defensive? These are continous flaws that still occur after all these years. Look, I would like Cam to be our QB, BUT NOT AT THE PRICE HE IS ASKING FOR! Especially when he is so inconsistent as it is. And to top it off, he isn't even that good of a passer. He has ranked right dead in the middle every year. That's what gets me about some of you. You think he is this elite passer that has a great arm. No. He is a good QB that (more times than not) is off on his passes. Yes, he throws some very good balls, but so does every other QB in the NFL. If you are paying a QB that much money, you want to know his accuracy is going to be on more times than not, and it just isn't at this time of his career.

Why is it when Cam is playing great you never post??

Why is it hard to say Cam may be playing bad but there is a reasons why and he can't control them all??

Why aren't the 3 years of good play not enough of a reason to give the benefit of the doubt on the last 3 games.

So, you deflect my question because you don't have an answer? And I would give credit where it is due. I praised Cam for his performance against the Bengals, Bears, and the Lions game. At the same time, I left it at that and told people to hold on and let's see if he can continue it. He did not. Like I said, he is very inconsistent. Even last year, he had a lot of horrible games. If not for the defense, he wouldn't have even had a chance to win a lot of those (albeit, he was incredible in clutch moments). But again, I don't overract to one Cam performance because I would like to see him consistently do it week to week. Cam is a lot like Vick in his prime. He would throw out some unbelievable games, but then follow it up with a clunker. That's how I see Cam's career playing out.

What was your question??

And your Vick comment makes you lose credibility.

Vick has never had Cam's passing numbers.

There are only 3 offensive players on the team that we've drafted since selecting Cam #1 overall in 2011. Two are rookies.

2012

Amini Silatolu

2014

Kelvin Benjamin

Trai Turner

In that same time frame 8 defensive players from those drafts remain on the roster.

The talent around No. 1 has gotten worse every year he's been in the league.

So with the team knowing he would miss virtually the entire offseason, they decided to let all of his wrs go in free agency and move the worst offensive lineman on the team to the most important position on the line.

How could you honestly sit back and judge Cam when the team has done virtually nothing to build around him. The sad thing is that Cam might actually be a bigger problem then I believe, but it's unfair to say that when the players around him are barely on a NFL talent level.

And one last thing. Greg Olsen, who is our best receiving target, has been turned into a blocker the last few weeks. So why you argue that Cam has "had good protection" realize that protection has come at a cost. No check downs and Olsen as a blocker. I've seen third downs when Bersin, Webb, and Avant were his options.

But I'm sure you're just dying to tell me how bad the salary cap is.

Thank you for this.

Our defense was awful his rookie year. We had to rebuild the defense first.

Otherwise we would be still giving up 30 points a game

Pitt-37

Bal-38

Chi-24

Cin-37

GB-38

NO-28

and overall we give 28 on average, therefore we are currently in the same boat as his rookie year defensively. BUT the only justification is because the defense is on the field to much due to lack of offensive production. I feel as sorry for Luke as I do Cam. Shula and the way of thing from RR's posse has to stop in order to have success.

The reason this team is hamstrung is Hurney and the contracts he gave Dwill, JStew and CJ. Combined with Gettleman and what happened with Hardy. Had no replacement ready for Gross also.

Gettleman came in demanding pay cuts left and right, and I don't mind that because some players didn't deserve their contracts. But when you do that, you're going to ruffle feathers and you better be ready to replace them. I know if I was one of those players I'd be pissed that I had to redo my deal, but here's Greg Hardy making 13 million from the couch.
