Understanding Cam's situation

Are some people expectation that no matter if every thing around Cam is worse he is suppose to be better??

I'll blame Cam for bad play in the last 3 games but can people not see the circumstances the FO put him in could be a reason why? ??

"I know Cam has a bad Oline"

"I know Cam has unreliable and underwhelming weapons"

"I know Cam has to work with a bad OC play calling"

But he should still be able to carry this team really???

At some point though we gotta understand this ain't madden, the great ones make people around them better

So how do you figure Cam should go about making Byron Bell better? Or have the WR's hang onto some of these passes that are hitting them in the hands?

Really only the Oline has gotten worse, LT and one RG specifically. Not a lot of improvements though, Jerricho and KB is a slight improvement over 89 and Jody B. At some point though we gotta understand this ain't madden, the great ones make people around them better

And one major fact that is different. This offense can't depend on the number 2 defense and good special teams like last years could

He missed a game and has been pulled early from a couple others.

You can't judge an OL entirely by sacks given up with a QB like Cam. Cam's legs also help limit that number.

 

DA only took 1 sack in game 1.  So the numbers still hold true.  Go and look at the stats.  Cam has always taken a ton of sacks even with a probowl LT and a decent interior line.

This season can't end soon enough. I just hope it does without totally destroying cam newton and turning him into David Carr . Has anyone else seen a noticeable difference in Cams personality? It seems as his swagger is disappearing. Just the other day I saw pictures of Cam smiling during previous seasons games, celebrating big plays and having that look in his eye that he was taking this team somewhere. Where has it gone? We are slowly doing possible irreversible damage to his psyche. I feel bad for him and all of us who have waited for so many years to have a true superstar and franchise Qb leading our team, only to watch one of the worst managed franchise's in the NFL damage and possibly destroy him. I used to think there was no way we would ever lose him. Not anymore. I won't even be mad at cam if he leaves. How could I?

We were healthy and DA was playing against a 1 win Bucs team.

Yep and Shula also called an entirety different game that game around DA's abilities. Our running backs combined had 30 carries that game and that's the most by them in any game this season by a large margin.

I almost want DA to start a game against a real team so it will put a end to his name even being brought up.

Yes it's hard to block for Cam when the Defensive lineman runs right pass you or bully your ass 5 yards back in seconds.

If you look at those stats, you'll see a lot of QB's are close as hell in the sack department. We're talking 1-3 sack difference in ranking. And once again, Cam legs allow him to avoid sacks. So best bet the numbers would be higher

Even the stats say Cam played less time then last year and the sacks are only 1 or 2 off last years pace.
