It starts at the top. Jerry has that good ole bot southern holier than thou attitude.that factors in to every decision we make as an origination. Cam if you get tattoo thats a no no. If you get arrested in college you won't be playing here. What a dwi....oh hell no. That alone lets you miss out on key free agents and draft day steals.

Some kids mess up in college they are kids. God forbid we needed a qb this year and Winston was on the board. Football is a mans game. You don't win wars with choir boys. Which trickles down into or gm our coach and how you play the game.

This guy gets it. I'll say it again, other than the Oklahoma City Thunder, we're the only pro team that prays before a game. That is JR's doing. And it is wrong on SO many levels.

Well when the patriots defense started sucking and they had a great offense how many superbowls did he win? Fact is defense wins championships a heck of a lot more than good offenses.

once they stopped them from spying on other teams their Super Bowl appearances dried up rather quickly.

^^^ that's the problem right there. trying to be like somebody else instead of setting a standard now so someone else can say "become what the Panthers used to be ?" years down the road

The fact that he allowed Hurney to stay around and screw this team up speaks volumes. Truthfully instill blame most of this teams failures on personnel, which I blame Hurney for. However, there were those of us who were calling for Hurneys head for years b4 it happened. I think DG is a good hire tho. In time he'll get it turned around and I think be a mind that sees football in a current way.

Who knows who he'll hire after next year but I think that the Rivera contract decision was all JR...GMs don't extend guys that they didn't hire. So...if we suck again next year then I think DG will try his hardest to get Rivera replaced and he'll bring his guy in. By then it'll be his team bc most of the Hurney deals will be gone.

We aren't going to know the future of this team for probably 2 more years. That will be the latest time period for when l cam's status can be determined (if we franchise him after next season) and it'll be the time when Rivera's contract runs out. IDT it's a coincidence that they are paralleled.

I read a story about the time Johnny Unitas cleaned out his locker for the final time at Memorial Stadium, while surrounded by reporters and all he took with him was his metal spiked cleats and said he needed them in order to mow grass at his residence and that the rest of his belongings could be sent to Cooperstown.Ole, how times have changed in todays NFL,can you imagine a HOF QB now retiring and concerned about mowing their own grass?i just wonder if JR ever mowed his own grass after his retirement from the NFL?

I hope you're being facetious because he started the Hardee's franchise from scratch with his last game check. Flipped the burgers himself until he made enough to stop doing it.

There's also the story of the time an employee of his passed away, and he personally went to the funeral/wake, noticed that the family had neglected their lawn care because, you know, dead family member and all, and then he went out and mowed their lawn for them...

So yes, he does have lawn mowing experience.

DON'T be like the Steelers. Change the organization's philosophy of running conservative, smash mouth, time-controlled football. Stop being family-friendly at games. Stop having a PRAYER at the game. Sign players who are superstars ... but have some issues off the field. No more vet player loyalty. Put your money in the O-line. Stop giving huge contracts to players who had a few decent seasons and one massive one (CJ).

Yeah, because being family-friendly and saying a prayer have lost us so many games ... how ridiculous is that. How can anyone take anything else you say seriously when you put that in your post.

Richardson also acknowledged he considered letting Fox go a year ago but let him coach the final year of his contract because cutting him loose would have cost $11.4 million in salary due to his entire staff.

Sounds like an owner who makes winning the top priority!
