Doubt inside BofA Cam is the future?

I agree with you about Shula, but why doesn't Cam demand the offense be the same way for him as it is for DA?

In press conferences Cam say he let the coaches coach and do what they ask him to do. Most if not all players are like that

Thats like me asking you why when Cam was in the pocket and not running as much people was saying we need him to run?

I don't want him saying it in press conferences, but out on that practice field he should be asking for the same offense as it were DA.  His running ability is great, but it shouldn't used as a play, or at the least rarely used as a play.

How about people baseline there DA opinion off of "a game against the Bucs" and not his career? ?

The 1 win Bucs people? ??????

I'm beginning to believe he might actually be more effective in a West Coast offense.

Two years ago I probably wouldn't have thought that based on his weaknesses in short yardage passing, but when they adjusted to a short passing game last year he did fine (arguably better than this year).

Maybe Pat Shurmur was a better option for OC than we thought.

Well we pretty much have to completely rebuild the offense around Cam at this point starting with the oline.

So if you were going to make a philosophical change, now would be the time.

Of course, Andy Reid is busy in KC.

It's tough to see Cam playing like Jeff Garcia but he could sure play like Steve Young and gouge defenses with his running ability as Young did so many times while improvising.

the only records Cam still has standing is his rushing records.

As far as which QB, does it matter? In the context of my last post, those QBs are considered great because they were winners. Not because of the millions of yards and TDs they threw for (like Marino and favre), but because they won.

Wins are directly attributed to a QB.

Cam was breaking records when Chud was OC.

His records are disappearing while Shula is OC.

But, yeah, Luck is taking away Cam's records because Cam just isn't playing well under Shula's brilliant leadership.

(P.S. I wonder what kind of records Luck would be breaking behind an UDFA OL and with Shula as his OC? Hmmmmm... )

That obviously has lots to do with it. Shula has hamstrung the offense for two years now.

Luck only has a few of Cam's passing records and threw it 100 more times to do it barely. ..

Under Chud Cam had a Pro Bowl level LT, not just a better OC than he does now.

Cam's problems are compounded right now.

This isn't so much about DA himself, moreso the skills he brings to the table.  DA's skill set is totally on throwing the ball.  That's it.  With Cam it's the mindset of trying to make a play, whether it be through the air or with his legs.

Realistically, we're going to have to rebuild the O-Line anyway, so it might not make as much difference as it otherwise would.

Kalil and Turner could do fine in a West Coast OL, maybe (BIG maybe) Silatolu. Anybody else, probably not.

It'd also mean retooling the WR corps again, but Benjamin could still function in a WCO. Bersin probably could too, and Philly Brown might actually be better suited to it.

We'd need to add at least one 'Smith' type though (again, something we might need to do anyway).
