Doubt inside BofA Cam is the future?

I'm saying DA would fair better than Cam with this current offense. With the bad O-line and everything because he's more fundamentally sound. Newton still depends too much on his running ability. Of we know DA is better at lobbing passes to Benjamin.

And I'm saying past play and statistical numbers don't agree with you.

Cam over his career has been a better passer then DA.

Cam isn't consistent. Has a great game and then has a few bad ones. He's one of many problems on this team. They need to stop the read option all together. Dwill and stew actually looked decent and may just be heathy toegther for the first time in years.

Tore up ankle this past season, blown up ribs this preseason. If they keep calling the same read option BS Cam will be 35 in NFL years when he's 28.

Got this last night from someone inside Panthers, Newton holding on to ball too long, making bad decisions, doubt building he is the future

 

 

 

Again, this is the coaching staff, particularly Rivera and Shula, finding a handy bus to throw Cam under because of their own proven lack of ability.

I have no problem saying Cam is playing bad but now people are making it out like he has always been bad. Or questioning his worth to this team now is asinine.

No Sula run the offense differently with DA because DA can't do the things Cam can do. There's no read option or fake read option messing with DA mechanics. Thats not Cam fault, thats all on Shula. You have a 50 million dollar backfield, let them carry the offense. Talk about waste of money. For the record with the changes on the oline and them being undrafted rookies, DA would get demolished in there. Cam legs save him plenty of times like that almost safety against Sea. DA can't do that

 

I agree with you about Shula, but why doesn't Cam demand the offense be the same way for him as it is for DA?

 

DA played with a fully healthy team AND Hardy on defense against a bad Tampa and still damn near lost the game if the defender doesn't drop an easy pick six. Cam hasn't had a fully healthy offense all season.

 

In that game we had a lot of control for the most part.  There was a certain throw he made to Olsen that would have put us up I believe 24-0, but he didn't connect for that TD.  That would have iced the game.  Yet all in all, I still believe DA would have more success with this offense than Cam.  We have a bunch of possession receivers, so the QB needs to throw guys open at times.  Of course KB catches the lob passes, and DA is better at that than Cam.

He hurt his ribs because he either refuses or for whatever reason cannot slide. Maybe he's to big and can't do it. But either way it's not the coaches fault that he got hurt. If you go back and look at the play he had plenty of time to hit the ground. Ron is always asked about it and he says cam is going to be cam.

and thats the problem. Cam is a unique breed of qb and we need a OC that can utilize that talent in the best way possible.

this offense isn't it.

DA with this offense < Cam with an offense that utilizes his skill set

I'm beginning to believe he might actually be more effective in a West Coast offense.

Two years ago I probably wouldn't have thought that based on his weaknesses in short yardage passing, but when they adjusted to a short passing game last year he did fine (arguably better than this year).

Maybe Pat Shurmur was a better option for OC than we thought.
