As far as which QB, does it matter? In the context of my last post, those QBs are considered great because they were winners. Not because of the millions of yards and TDs they threw for (like Marino and favre), but because they won.

Wins are directly attributed to a QB.

Archie Manning has a horrible W-l % but is considered by everybody better the Brad Johnson who has a great W-L record.

Terry Bradshaw and Troy Aikman have 7 titles between them. Nobody says they are better QB'S then Marino who has none.

I thought Rivera was getting it with the Riverboat thing. You gamble with Cam, you win with Cam on those 4th and 1's. Bengals game proved he is scared and is holding his best players back.

 

Mike Shula did very well last year with what he had and i loved the progress he made with Cam's decision making. But when talent is taken away he has no idea how to adjust to put the most talented players on the team in the best positions to succeed.

 

Cam is most definitely a part to blame in the fiasco of thursday night. but damn he didn't stand a chance when he was off because he has to be perfect for us to have a chance. That is the problem. And even goddamn idiot commentators were saying we expect WAYYYY too much out of this kid. Sure, guys like Logan Thomas and aren't (I said unless we draft a project) and JinmyG isn't (he's behind Brady), but QBs are starting earlier and earlier.

It would also depend on what the new OC wanted, and I doubt DA, a guy who was a career 50% completion rate, would be the answer. DA is a stop gap for a game or two, but not a season.

I just want an offense that doesn't feel like we're based out of the 90s. Rivera had it right with Chud but let him get too creative and stupid, but the offense was something we should be running in 2014. Now we're running a college 90s team offense basically. Idk if the read option was in the 90s in college lol, mixed with long developing routes. As I can see Rivera is too much of a lame to can Shula, Shula needs to run the ball conventionally and stick to play action. I would rather the team do that for the year

Yeah they're starting now.  Carr excluded....all the qbs that started over them sucked.  Like I said earlier....DA would start.  If DA sucks he'd get benched. Whoever got drafted would eventually start unless DA lights it up.  How are we not saying the samething?
