Doubt inside BofA Cam is the future?

I mean, I like Cam, but how is he the greatest QB ever after three seasons? He's only been to one playoffs with no playoff win. Andrew Luck broke all of his passing records.

The only records he still holds are the rushing TD records.

We don't here. We try to pound it without the personnel and mostly get our asses handed to us by true physical teams. They need to beef up Cam's targets and make it a pass first offense. We are as usual; light years behind the rest of the league.

As a non-Carolinian, if they cut/trade Cam I'd have pretty much no issue following him with another team as I laugh at the Panthers' failure from afar. Not even really a 'fan of a player, not the team' sort of thing, considering I've been a Panthers fan since Cam Newton was 14 years old. It's more that it would cement that JR/the team has no actual interest in winning or building a franchise, and would prefer to tread water and rest on "we finally got an NFL team" until the end of time.

Honestly? I heard this was the case too. I didn't want to chime in or start a new thread but I'd figured I'd just say it.

To clarify though: It's not that they don't want to sign him long term, just if they had to pull the trigger now, they wouldn't because they feel like he doesn't deserve it at this moment. They don't want to throw so much Money at him and cripple putting more pieces in place that could help the team.

Heard it from the same guy that told me about Gross and Smitty this offseason so I am inclined to believe it. Told me some other stuff too that I found interesting. What it basically boils down to is all the people that think JR has more say in what we do as an organization than people realize, are 100% correct. He is the puppet master.

Big Ben played out of his mind on Sunday.  40-49 for over 500 yards, 6 TD, and 0 INTs.  Look at how badly he's struggling tonight.  The difference?  He had great protection on Sunday and none tonight.  It's amazing how much better a QB looks when he's getting protection and comfortable setting his feet and going through his reads in the pocket.

He and Flacco have switched places.  Flacco was lighting it up early while Big Ben struggled.  Now, Flacco is struggling while Big Ben is playing much better.  The difference?  The Steelers have made adjustments.  They've changed their protections and keeping Ben upright and they're utilizing more stunts and blitzes on defense and getting to Flacco.  My point remains.  Both QBs tonight have played well when protected and struggled when they're getting heavily pressured.  That's the point I was trying to make.

What game are you watching? Big Ben's jaw just got busted one play before he threw the touchdown pass. Obviously the adjustments are not working.
