Doubt inside BofA Cam is the future?

Honestly? I heard this was the case too. I didn't want to chime in or start a new thread but I'd figured I'd just say it.

To clarify though: It's not that they don't want to sign him long term, just if they had to pull the trigger now, they wouldn't because they feel like he doesn't deserve it at this moment. They don't want to throw so much Money at him and cripple putting more pieces in place that could help the team.

Heard it from the same guy that told me about Gross and Smitty this offseason so I am inclined to believe it. Told me some other stuff too that I found interesting. What it basically boils down to is all the people that think JR has more say in what we do as an organization than people realize, are 100% correct. He is the puppet master.

Ouch

I rewatched that Saints game vs. what I saw at the stadium.

If there is anybody in the Panthers organization that thinks Newton lost them that game, they should be fired immeidately because obviously they are beyond stupid.

The tape does not lie.

Newton missed a few things, yes, and he could have done a few things better but there were a lot bigger issues than Newton.  Dropped passes, wrong route combinations, missed blocks, setups by the OL that told everyone what play was coming, a defensive secondary that no one would want.

Again, the tape does not lie.

They send such mixed messages to that man,  'run, no don't run'  ', yeah, we know we can't open running lanes and we have a dumpster fire oline, receivers no one wants, and RBs that are well past their prime and the play calls well, you know, we are who we are'  but  'hey CAM, you need to make up for all of that and if you don't, well, we'll just whisper about how you have not matured as a QB.'

If these whispers are true, I'm pissed.  Really Really pissed and so will the other PSL holders around me.  Money and empty seats talks.

I feel like this guy has carried this Offense for so long, he just can't do it anymore.  It's a team sport, not one man.

I think one of the biggest problems with the offense is predictable play calling based on formations.

I explained all of this months ago. This is why Cam has the worst offensive line in the history of football. Because Gettleman doesn't want to give him anything that's going to make him look too good anytime soon.

THE END.

Keep bringing up these stupid issues when Gettleman's priorities and positions are plain as day by his actions. He didn't believe Cam Newton was a franchise QB before he got here, he still doesn't, because if he did, Newton's protection would've been a top priority. THAT IS NOT AN OPINION. No GM in the league would ever make protecting a "franchise QB" a low priority. Not a one. Protecting Cam isn't a priority of Gettleman's, therefore, Gettleman doesn't really believe he's a franchise QB.

Cam doubters and racist posters who choose to look the other way can both come up with any excuses they want to try to talk that away, but nothing they can come up with can erase the statement's logic, which has zero to do with me because I don't create logic.

And expect to see more of it if cam signs for 100+ - 70 mil guaranteed contract.

I received a tweet from another NFC South front office outside the Panthers. It reads:

Front office lacks talent evaluation skills; relies on undrafted players. GM cannot handle internal issues; continues to grow resentment among players and fan base; turning Panthers into farm team for the league. Coaches lose team; play to weaknesses instead of strengths; can not adjust in game; lack ability to track pulse of team. Panthers organization is predictable; laughable opponent on game day. Doubt front office and coaches are the future. Easy win for next decade. Hope JR keeps them in place. Victory is ours.

Wow this is funny because all of this has been mention on the huddle before. If this is true, I guess our fans do know more then the people in the front office and that's on the team. At the end of day it's a shame that our team is going through stuff like this if this is true. When stuff like this gets out it's a bad look on our team.

LMAO if we get rid of Cam. Wow I'm done here.

Cam with no offensive line and slow receivers is equivalent to Luke being behind defensive tackles being manhandled. It is a team game. Great players can't be great without talent around them.

I really get tired of idiots blaming Cam for our team problems. We sat around for three years watching our talent on the offensive side of the ball disappear. Our talent on offense was 5 times better in 2011. All of a sudden now it is Cams fault ?

If this franchise were to get rid of Cam they may as well trade Luke too. No way he would sign an extension with Carolina with talent disappearing on both sides of the ball. Cam is an elite talent that is not being developed wth talent around him.

I would be done too.

Can you go into more detail?

Like what does cam think he deserves? And what does the FO think he should be doing a better job of with this o line? Just seeing if you've heard anything about that

Most teams that would lose what we did over the offseason would voice their opinion Didn't TD voice his opinion and all of a sudden he retracted his statements? I remember hearing how Luke was confused how all of his buddies he bonded with here was gone just like that especially Gross. Our players was definitely fooled into thinking things would be alright. Some of the fans were fooled too. I knew we would miss the playoffs so this is no surprise. Did I think it would get to this point? No. But if we don't start winning, things could get worse. It definitely falls on those up top. It's crazy how winning, you hear crickets. Losing, then everybody start running off at the mouth

What is clouding your judgment, racism or ignorance? It's usually one or the other around here.

We are supposed to believe that the Panthers can't afford to give Cam Newton a similar contract to other QBs because they are cash-strapped by contracts that Hurney entered into that will be coming off the books inevitably?

Sorry, but some of us aren't that stupid. And why should it matter anyway? Cam Newton is supposed to be bound by Hurney's blunders? That's a laughable proposition.

Gettleman not thinking Newton is worth a big contract has nothing to do with contracts like Johnson's, DeAngelo's, and Stewart's, or Luke's upcoming deal. Those things will have nothing to do with Cam's next deal.

You don't have to "go there." Won't change a thing. Cam Newton's next contract has zero to do with Hurney's past blunders. ZERO. And anyone who keeps bringing those up every time Newton's next deal comes up needs to look for some new material or just state the real reason why they don't think he should get a big-time deal.

If I told you that you could have any QB as your franchise QB for the next 10 years most people would choose

1.) Andrew Luck

in some order Cam Newton and Russel Wilson as 2 and 3

Far far down that list you would see the names of the QBs we could potentially replace Cam with
