All Andrew Luck has done this season is pass for 300+ yards in 7 of his 8 starts behind a bad offensive line.

He is on pace to throw for 5462 yards and 44 touchdowns.

His 341 yard per game average is the third highest in the history of the National Football League.

Andrew Luck has a good chance to break Peyton Manning's all time yardage record for a season.

But let me guess, Luck is putting up huge numbers because of an easy schedule, right ???

The Colts have played Denver, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh...the Panthers have had a fairly tough schedule, Indy's has been even tougher.

Cam is an OK QB you can win with when he is playing well. And he has the great mobility factor.

 

The thing that burns me up is the irrationality of some of the Cam fans on this board. They are the ones who cling to the silly notion that Cam is somehow better than Luck. They are almost always the ones to make the comparison. It's just silly.

 

It's OK that Cam is not as good as Luck. We don't need Cam to be as good as Luck. If Cam can get back to the 62% completion 15th to 16th passer rating level we will be fine the rest of the season.

 

I think this team can still make the playoffs. But we can only do it if Cam starts to play much better than he has the past three weeks.

However, I believe in Cam. I still think after this min-bye, superman will return and we will march into the dome and win that game. NO may also lose a couple games too so we are going to repeat as back to back champions.

We don't need Superman, though. The whole Superman, trying to win the game on every play mentality is part of Cam's problem IMHO.

 

What we need is a solid, poised QB who is willing to take what the defense gives him and to avoid negative plays.

To the original tweet and rumor, this is something I think the Panthers need to nip on the bud immediately. Even if it is true.

They need to deny it amd reaffirm their belief in Newton to him personally and publicly. This is the sort of thing you don't want hanging over your quarterback.

I personally have a hard time believing this is true but who knows. Gettleman might have a different vision of what he wants as his QB.

But regardless of whether this rumor is true or not, they need to cut this off at the knees and not let it become yet another distraction or linger.

Jake was a good QB and a great Game Manager but wasn't putting up the numbers a Franchise QB does.

Plus Jake needed 1,000 yard RB to have a good offense.

 

Looks like Cam will need a 1,000 yard back as well. Numbers mean nothing, it is the talent around the QB...take Peyton Manning, 1 Super Bowl for as many years as he has been in the league. His brother has 2 and no one would say Eli is better. Look at Russell Wilson, wins the Super Bowl in his sophmore year...he hasn't had a chance to amasse numbers.  

 

We need a team...not just a freakish athlete at QB that we can't build around (or it seems we can't build around).
