Diggs for DT....

He doesn't without bundling a decent pick along. If we get a DT via trade, it'll be for pick(s).

I'm not so sure about that.....I think if we're going to get a quality DT, then we'll need to trade or cut some veteran salary to get under the cap. We seem to be deepest at LB, secondary, and RB.

The player that worries me the most is Jonathon Stewart. He seems to be getting a level of protection and "rest" that is greater than his injury warrants. A mildly strained achilles doesn't warrant all this time off. Are they protecting him from further injury so they can trade him? I hope not but Williams is a stud and Goodson could probably perform well as our change of pace back if Stewart were gone. I hope I'm just being nervous for no good reason but I just have a bad feeling.

Anyway, I hope it's Diggs, or L. Johnson.....it could be Connor or Leman. Trading a backup LB for a starting DT makes sense but again it doesn't help with cap space. I'm anxious to see how this plays out.

They're just being super careful with Stewart at this point. Guy has had small injury issues throughout college but would play through them. They probably think it's better to have him a little winded here and there for the first couple of games than to push him now and risk something worse w/ the achilles. He's shown he can run in real games.

Stewart does have more trade value than most we could put out there, but they won't even think about moving him until/unless Goodson really takes off for a season or two (as much as he can being a 3rd RB/hybrid player).

I do expect L. Johnson to be cut to free up some space though.
