Cam is shell shocked.

My worry when it was said that Byron Bell would be the starting left tackle going into the season was that Cam would become shell shocked. I convinced myself that Cam was too far along in his career to get that way. Low and behold, he's shell shocked.

What is shell shock for a QB? Well, watch David Carr play. When he played with Houston, he had no time to throw. Every play, there was a defender breathing down his neck. eventually, he seen ghosts of players who weren't there.

Cam is there now. His footwork is suffering because of the constant pressure, his confidence is suffering because his offensive line is so bad. He's rattled. If we're not careful, it could have long lasting implications.

it's a disgrace watching this happen, Cam has so much talent and we're so lucky to have a QB like him, O-line shouldv'e been addressed before anything. I would rather have mcnutt and king out there running routes if it meant we could've had one more decent lineman

A player like Cam will last longer than "staff". Stop ur bullshyte

riiiiiggght......

the reality is Getts knows what "HE" wants and its clearly not what he has allowed RR to display.

Cam must test the market if he is demanding paper as some are saying. BTW, last time I checked, he liked winning. sadly he changed his on camera image and is clearly biting his tongue so only a fool would think he's all good with what is going on here. btw the smitty situation was NOT a good look in terms of considering this team long term under Getts/RR. Brace yourself.

oline was as solid if not better when it mattered tonight vs recent weeks. offensive play calling is the issue. oh boy has no clue what a 3-4 is. its like he does what he didn't do last week every week. smh...and that kills us early every game. we are playing for close games not to go for their throat and wrap it up. we will not serve up a meaningful blowout this season at this rate.

Our offence as a whole is fugged this year. I think as Zod pointed out when he was promoted Shula has taken every offence he has been given and drove it into the ground.

If I was Cam my ribs would all the sudden be hurting to bad to play and I may have to save myself until I get a better OC/OL.

But yea no fugin way would I stay here if that was me...poo the Panthers are my favorite team but no way would I want to play for them lol GTFO of here with that...I'd be off to a place that's ran by competent people who want to win as bad as I do.

No doubt the Panthers are treating Cam newton the same way David Carr was treated by the texans.

Only hope is, and I'm sure of it.

Cam Newton is twice the man carr ever was.

Cam will never sign a 2nd contract with the Panthers unless management pulls their heads out of their assholes.

If they don't there will be contentious Franchise Tags and more failure along the line of Julius Peppers and Hardy.

    • See, I have a different view of it. I think that just the opposite is very true, and often proven on our very own team.  Look at the impact that CMC had when he was here.  Look at how bring in two top rate IOL to play guard last season made a huge difference in finally getting a stable front for Bryce to live behind. It took a while for it to bear fruit, but those last games were just relevatory. And off ball linebackers like Luke Kuechly, not just running a defense but dictating the game when he's on the field, truly remarkable what a difference that makes. Personally, he had as much or maybe even more to do with that Super Bowl appearance as Cam did.  What I see in the NFL is teams trying hard to cover up for a lack of good linebackers by stacking the D-line. But it gives them a crust defense, one that is hard and crunchy on the outside but a feast within. Linebackers shouldn't just rule the middle of the field, but should be directing traffic and working as enforcers.  But hey, whatever. "Devalued" positions often come back to bite you in the ass when they are neglected. Ask anyone who has had to clean up the mess left behind by a former college coach who took over a pro team and brought their college recruiting mindset in. Yanno, like Matt Rhule did.
    • I see it this way--XL was raw.  Raw players when drafted who are forced to start immediately are very raw players in the NFL-- How is he helped? TMac will shift the focus of the defense away from XL.  XL will be more experienced.  He will have an offseason of jugs work.  He is a very good athlete.  He can only get better.  Wallace?  Same thing.  He will get better with an improved defensive front and the addition of these heat-seeking head hunters at S.  I think about the players we will have on defense in 2025 that we did not have in 2024. Derrick Brown. DE Brown III NT Wharton DE Jones Edge Moehrig S Princely. Edge Scourton. Edge Ransom. S Cam Jackson NT Roseboom  LB While we may not know what we have, we know what we don't have--
    • If he hit the jugs machine, X is going to beast. He got open a lot. He just didn't bring it in consistently.
