Sorry to burst your bubble, but KB may not be a WR1

top dawg

KB was forced into the role of a number 1 WR since day 1. He has zero help out there with him, he sees the opposing teams best corner each week (fwiw Keenan Lewis is very underrated). If you watched KB in college drops aren't something new with him. So to have the expectation of him coming here and catching everything is unrealistic. Unrealistic expectations seems to be a theme with this team btw.

Like I said earlier this week only Sammy Watkins and Allen Robinson see other teams #1 corners. Watkins was in a class of his own during the draft and everyone knew. I still can't get over us passing on Allen Robinson. Him and KB could've shared the load instead of putting it all on KB's shoulders.

now we are back to keeping SS.

You're talking about Kelvin as if he was a top 5, sure-fire, can't miss, AJ Green/Calvin Johnson type prospect. He isn't that. There is a reason he fell to 28. He is raw and he is far from a finished prospect. You can't expect the guy to put this offense on his back after only producing for one year in major college football. Kelvin deserves the patience of Panther fans even if his production thus far has exceeded expectations from a statistical standpoint.

All the stuff you see from KB, is all the stuff we already knew about. He just made some spectacular plays so everyone forgot about it, but ultimately it will, and has shown up. Can make big plays, but will also drop some easy ones. He will be alright, he's really the only playmaker on this offense, and the only one that actually scares defenses other than Olson.

KB is a rookie #2 playing the #1 position, and when he fails the offense falls apart.

i think dave gettleman isn't as bad as people make him out to be, but he didn't think this offense through very well, and we're seeing the consequences.

Right now, no he is not.  But as one of his biggest critics pre and post draft, I will say he is well past where I thought he would be at this point in time.

He may never develop much more than what he is, but adding another dynamic receiver through the draft or FA would give the Panthers a lethal punch at the position.  But meh, whatever.
