Cam is high

top dawg

All I can do is hope now. This team will be built around Cam. He will get the big contract. So I hope for the best that he will continue to develop, but I am concerned. It is hard to be patient. Gettlemen has to get a line to protect him, this year has been ridiculous.

What trajectory? He's had three bad games against three playoff teams, one being the former number 1 defense and SB champs.

Did the Bengals, Lions, bears games not happen? What about last year, the year before that, and the year before that?

Tonight. He looked good in those games, not sure what's happened since.

GM and Coaches just put together a crappy team. Cam was good when he couldn't run, now he is going backwards. He doesn't trust the O-line what so ever, and it's had a major effect. Cam is awful when he isn't comfortable. Plenty of blame to go around this season. This team hasn't had all units playing well since week two. It's the GM, the coaches, and the players. Team is a mess.

We should have let Hardy walk in the offseason, but we decided to pay him.  Look at where that has gotten us.  I'm not even sure had he played this year, that we still might have lost some games due to our offense.  Now we have Cam's contract coming up.  Cam still struggles with some of the fundamentals concerning some stuff.  I think we would have to put blinders on not to see this.  Even if we had the perfect line and receivers, I don't think Cam is capable of leading the team to multiple winning seasons.  I just don't see the potential there.  We need to trade him in the offseason.  Just like we should have let Hardy walk, we need to trade Cam now.

#1 defense? Dude, the Seahawks had one of the worst passing defenses going into that game. The Saints today had one of the worst passing defenses going into this game. And again, Cam will have his HUGE games here and there just like Vick used to have, but he will never be consistent enough as a passer.

It doesn't matter what you say man.

The underlying truth about Cam as we all know, has nothing to do with Cam the player.  It has to do with what Cam represents.  He represents something very positive for the city and progress in general.  Any who criticize Cam and any who are beginning to think that Cam might not be worthy of the mega contract that he desires because of his play, is seen as someone who opposes "progress" which just can't be further from the truth.

I like Cam, but we'd be dumb to give him a contract that big.  We wouldn't be dumb to offer a contract, just one that big.  Even if you think that...you'll be someone who disagrees with equality and progress as a whole in the minds of many.

No we shouldn't have and if this defense is any indication then we should absolutely bring him back too, and IDGAF if he is guilty or not...he's clearly the straw that stirred the defensive drink.

Our pussy ass owner needs to stop crying and actually stick up for his team and make tough choices about winning games...there are people who have done way worse than Hardy and they are playing in the NFL...fug that we need Hardy.

Greenbay -- Cam played bad (<--- look I acknowledged it) but we got so far behind so quick that he starting pressing (his fault). And we got so far behind that Clay Matt and J Pepp got yo pin their ears back and rush the passer without any regard for our running game and as a result our line had trouble blocking them (not his fault)

Against Seattle he was bad (<---- look I acknowledged it) but he was just as bad as Peyton Manning the last two times they played, one of them this year.

And Aaron Rogers didn't fare well against them this year either. They are a good defense. QB's struggle against good defenses, including elite ones.

Against New Orleans he was bad (<---- acknowledged it again) and on this one Cam has no excuse. For some reason Rob Ryan has both Cam and Shula's number. We've had three games against Ryan and Cam's been bad in all three, including the game that won us the NFC south last year.

Three bad games doesn't>>>Three good years.

I consider a good year as a winning record.  So one good year, one playoff appearance, one 1st round exit.

You're making it sound like Charlotte is Gotham and Cam is Batman lol

Mr. Scot, I respect your football acumen.

I'd just argue that Cam wouldn't get hit in the face so much if he wasn't trying to force the ball down field every single play.  If you go back and you look at the film you'll see he had open receivers in the flats and underneath that he just ignored.  When he did throw short they usually turned into very positive plays.

I guess this might go back to the Air Coryell vs WCO debate.

The offense is a downfield offense.  We don't have the right kind of receivers or O-Line to run a WCO type attack right now.

So true man. Anybody who has negative views of Cam is automatically labeled a Cam hater and a fake Panthers fan. I can't tell you how much heat I have taken for my views on Cam. Well dammit, I am a PANTHERS Fan, not a Cam fan. I get it, he brings positive vibes to the city and anybody against Cam should go to hell. But if all we are striving for is a positive image, then I guess I picked a bad team to root for since 2003.
