Cam is high

top dawg

Recommended Posts

Never said that, this line is definitely below average. However Cam has had average or better lines every other year. Folks were talking about Cam being traumatized when this is the first year with a below average pass blocking line.

Rogers is one of the most accurate QBs in the league and has arguably the best OC/head coach as well. That's a big factor and no one is going to say Cam is one of the most accurate. Better example would be Phillip Rivers and the Bolts. Rivers has up and down games and wonkie throws all the while behind a poor line yet his OC puts up 30 most games.

he's been like this since his rookie year though Scott, how do you know if he became conditioned to play like poo or is simply poo no matter what

He legitimately had some of those issues prior to his coming here.  Won't argue that.  And yeah, he made progress on some but has regressed since.

But I know he was conditioned to it because I've seen it before.

This is how the Texans ruined David Carr, and although Blaine Gabbert wasn't that good to start off with the Jags did him the same way.

And now we're watching it here...

Stop the excuses. It's not just when he's pressured, he does it when there is nobody around him too. He will always be what he is, a QB who throws some good balls, but for the most part, will always be errant and inconsistent.

IKR!?!?!?! It's not like we went 12-4 last year. I mean, It's not like he has set around 14 fuging records or anything.  Let's just go to the Franchise QB bag and get us a goodun! lol Im disgusted.

I said it the gamethread...

Newton is getting David Carr´ed.

Our O-line is so bad that when they actually is playing a good snap, Newton poo the bed anyway.

Other than that, there is almost no seperation from our so called WR that I think Newton is just not trustin neither him or his receivers.

Oh and this Shula crap is not doing him any good either.

So the O-line, Shula and the WR is pretty much not doing Newton any favours and we are running out on time.

Cam hasn't always played around a lousy Oline though.  Gross was Pro Bowl and he still led the lead in sacks.  When are you blind fuggers going to see that Cam ignores check downs and it leads to sacks and sack fumbles.

Great QB's take what the defense gives them.  Cam is always trying to take what's been taken away.  I don't know if it's pride, or he just can't process his reads quickly.  Even last year our offense wasn't great.  The only reason we won games is because we had one of the top 5 defenses in NFL history.  Even tonight the D played well.  They really only gave up 21 to NO if you take away that Cam fumble inside the 5.

No, but he's had a bad one frequently enough that it's caused issues.

Biggest worry: There's no fixing it this season.  Next season is the earliest option, and by then will it be too late?

I hope not, but it's a very real possibility.

You're telling me you wouldn't trade Cam for two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders?  You wouldn't even entertain the thought?  That's crazy.

Na it'd be more than that....3 1sts and 2 2nds and you'd have to listen but I'd rather keep Cam and use the RB money on OL and bring in a offensive minded HC and make sure to fire Shula so hard he...nvm just....just...I honestly can't believe that dood is in the NFL.

Brees was pressured tonight, even forced into multiple turnovers. The difference is he capitalizes on opportunities, reads defenses well and his coaches design creative plays.

It's a cumulative effect, though.

Like I said, for Brees it's an exception.  Not so for Newton.

If you were getting hit in the face once in a while, you could fight through it.  When it's all the time?  Not so easy.

This team is a mess, I don't trust Rivera, or Shula.  Cam is trying to do to much, to many high throws, running for his life. O-line is, and has been a mess all year,  recievers dropping big plays and touchdown, defense finally showed up, except the season is half over lol.
