Cam is high

You have to understand the effect of constant pressure here, though.

One, a quarterback starts feeling pressure whether it's actually there or not.  Newton's done that a lot tonight.

Two, never having time to throw screws with his mechanics by reinforcing bad habits,  It effectively nullifies all the efforts you've made to coach those things out of him.

Playing for years behind a lousy line pretty much destroyed David Carr.  And while I wouldn't say Newton is ruined just yet, you can easily tell it's affecting him.

Seriously bad sign :(

Dude, at some point Newton is to blame rather you like it or not, he played bad, period.  Missed KB on that deep ball at the very start, couldn't get the right touch/velocity on the ball for different routes, he just wasn't on tonight.  Poor pocket presence on that fumble, has to get rid of the ball.

LOL you think this line is average. Now that's a good one.

Never said that, this line is definitely below average. However Cam has had average or better lines every other year. Folks were talking about Cam being traumatized when this is the first year with a below average pass blocking line.

Cam hasn't always played around a lousy Oline though.  Gross was Pro Bowl and he still led the lead in sacks.  When are you blind fuggers going to see that Cam ignores check downs and it leads to sacks and sack fumbles.

Great QB's take what the defense gives them.  Cam is always trying to take what's been taken away.  I don't know if it's pride, or he just can't process his reads quickly.  Even last year our offense wasn't great.  The only reason we won games is because we had one of the top 5 defenses in NFL history.  Even tonight the D played well.  They really only gave up 21 to NO if you take away that Cam fumble inside the 5.

he's been like this since his rookie year though Scott, how do you know if he became conditioned to play like poo or is simply poo no matter what

You sure about that?

You really sure about that

Cam has improved as a passer this year, but if you don't think having 4-5 guys in your chest every other play isn't a reason for throwing high, then,

I have no problem blaming Newton for anything I feel is his responsibility.

He does have poor touch.  He throws rockets when he should throw softballs.  A lot of his passes are on too flat a trajectory.  His footwork is still bad and he's very inconsistent.

But you have to understand why a lot of that is happening, and his being constantly under pressure because of a porous offensive line is absolutely a huge reason.
