Why did Rivera not call a timeout?

Serious question. Not over reaction thread. Why did Rivera not call a time out when he saw they were going for it? And regroup? I am not a coach, why I ask

That's a good question and I do not know why. He wouldn't have stopped the clock, as it was already stopped so there was nothing to lose. It's a head scratching (non) decision.

The Defense just went like 90  yards downfield. Hands on the hips. We weren't getting the ball back with enough time to do anything. We knew it was going to Graham. What the hell was he thinking? I defended Rivera the last 3 years, but he is honestly stupid. Beyond stupid! If retard was still ok Id say that.

I would like to have seen a timeout when our rookie safety was matched 1v1 on Jimmy Graham. I would like to have see a draw play from our own 5 yard line with our offensive line. Was Rivera dumb enough to think those guys could block without the threat of the run?
