Last time I went to Greensboro for a concert was 1986.  It was Bob Seger with the Fabulous Thunderbirds opening.  But I did go to the circus there about 5 or 6 years ago, and unless things have changed dramatically, no.  Unless you want to walk a really long way.  Best to just pay the fee.  I think its at most 20 bucks, so its not that bad.  There are some places outside the coliseum that will let you park for less, but like I said, its been a while for me, so I can't tell you much about them.

It was $10 for parking at the Coliseum a couple of weeks ago.

This. Gate City is not scary. And come on, you can walk a mile. What are you, some fatty with a hurt ankle? I also bet you can find free parking closer than a mile.

poo i missed this. you could've parked at an apartment complex off spring garden st and walked with little trouble. where did you end up?
