I know Time travel / alternate histories are keystones to the Terminator franchise.....but c'mon Hollywood. You are approaching Back to the Future II absurdity.

 

I actually liked Salvation minus the Skynet roadbikes, water snakes and the giant Crash&Burn robot ripoff.

I recently rewatched T2 and to be honest it doesn't hold up very well.

 

 

Whaaaat?  That movie holds up fuging amazingly for a movie made back in '91 IMO.  It's an action classic masterpiece.  I don't know what you think doesn't hold up... soundtrack is timeless, the special effects still look great even by today's standards, cool ass villain, badass characters, nice twist on the original story.  One of the few movies that's better than the original IMO.  Only thing the original has over it is the atmosphere of the movie and that horror-vibe the OG Terminator brought.

I don't know, that trailer just doesn't really do anything for me. I want to like it.

 

It doesn't feel like a Terminator movie. It feels like a generic action time travel flick that just happens to have a few terminators in it.

 

Meh. If James Cameron isn't going to be involved with the franchise anymore, they just need to maybe leave it alone.

 

Oh, and T2 is an absolute masterpiece.
