Hot food from gas stations...

Hotsauce

Anyone eat hot food made in a gas station?

A guy I work with, every single day eats a 6 inch pizza, a corn dog, and a chilli tortillo(?) from a gas station...for breakfast.

I would never eat that crap that sits under those hot lamps all day/night...no way.

There are exceptions, I have had Sheets, which is a popular fast food/gas station concept in VA. I have also had premade turkey sandwiches and boiled peanuts at a local mom & pop gas station in Whiteville, NC. And today, by my house, a legit indoor "Chicago style" hotdog place opened up inside my local neighborhood gas station. I saw them making them there, with fresh ingredients, so I gave it a shot...it was good!

So, what say you??

I know there are some nasty eaters out there, let's hear it!

Not hot food, per se, but when I drove a delivery truck, there was a little place near Topsail called Hilltop, always had a sign out front "Sandwiches-3 for a dollar". I probably drove by there a hundred times. One day, I stopped and asked about the 3 sandwiches. The old lady asked if I want ham, turkey, or roast beef. Or all 3. So I said all 3. "What else you want? Cheese? Lettuce and tomato?" Sure, whatever you normally put on there. She wrapped them up and handed me a bag. I got in the truck and unwrapped one. It was about a pound of deli meat on a huge seeded bun with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The size of a Whopper. I couldn't eat 2. About a week later, I had to go that way again.
