Power rankings week 8

You've got to like them when we are good or bad. We are pretty bad right now.

NFL.com has us at 23

Carolina got itself a heckuva effort from the defense most of the afternoon. Yet, for all the gloating early, Cam Newton couldn't get anything going offensively. At this point, Newton must make more precise throws from the pocket, then make teams pay when it breaks down. And if he is going to show the other team up, he needs to consistency back it up. Fair or not, Panthers fans? ( @HarrisonNFL)

What gloating? Gee, I wonder out of all the power rankings why you chose to post this quote.

Most of the power rankings I contribute are always from NFL.com.

At this point I'm convinced you're only interested in posts on this forum that talk about your man crush. This will be the last time I respond to you.

You pretty much have no consistency on this subject. I mean at least the trolls keep up the routine and stick with it. That's not my fault.

1gloat verb ˈglōt

: to show in an improper or selfish way that you are happy with your own success or another person's failure

Making a play to help your team is cause for celebration. You bust your ass in the weight room, on the practice field, and in the film room. Your one day of joy each week is on game day. Many of the players around you can't make plays, and are more or less terrible. You can be stoic after you make a play, or you can hang your head, or you can celebrate. None of these actions are improper. Cam is a happy go lucky free spirit who wears his emotions on his sleeve. Game day is his reward for the work week, so of course he's going to find some kind of joy in playing. You earn the right to celebrate, not by the scoreboard, but by putting everything on the line to win. Cam's health is in danger, football is brutal and painful. Cam, our coach, and his teammates on the field decide what is proper or improper behavior. Sports writers are fit to determine how hard they can click their keyboard keys, but nothing football related. Most of them have never even played the sport at any level. They only to stir the pot.
