Mark Barron via Trade?

He's supposedly available and could help our SS deficiency. He has underperformed but is still young and the kind of SS that I would prefer this team to take. Don't know what it would cost us nor if TB would trade within the division.

Thoughts??

The Bucs are definitely selling low on him right now, so I wonder if a 3rd would be enough?  A 2nd, might be too much for me, but I honestly was a huuuuge fan of Barron when he came out and was hoping he would some how slip to us.  Safe to say, I would be uber-pissed right now if we had Barron instead of Kuechly.  However, I can easily see us drafting a SS with one of our first three picks in this year's draft, so why not get a young former top-10 pick with 2.5 years of experience.  I feel like Barron would thrive more in a swarming McDermott defense than the bendable version of the Tampa-2 that the Bucs run.

I would love to have him for a 5th rounder but i know that's not going to happen. When was the last time the Panthers traded for somebody? I say the chances for us doing anything is slim to none. The Panthers don't make moves like that. It's against JR religion.

they were LOL at you, not your post. :)

I normally cut to the chase in threads where everyone (who knows nothing) is complaining that we don't just go out there and sign a pro bowl OT.  You know, all it takes is the will to do it.

Actually, there is nobody worth any more than Bell out there waiting, so in a thread where we think Ron might actually be wanting a better OT, to me, it means we might have to make a trade.

Or, we can just piss and moan for 20 pages about why Gman is not signing all the 1st stringers hanging around outside the stadium with signs saying, "will start at OT for food"

At this point the Bucs could probably care less if he gets traded within the division as long as they get a good pick. I say put a 4th rounder on the table and see if they budge. His production over the past 2.5 years does not denote a 3rd rounder or higher. With that said, dude is a gamer and he would thrive in this defense.
