Just saw the promo. MJ with a 1 on 1 about the current state of the NBA and bringing back the Buzz to Charlotte. Might be worth watching.

Thanks. I've been looking forward to this since I saw the first promo for it over the weekend, but forgot which network I saw it on.

Really disappointing, but that's what I get for expecting something out of ESPN and Darren Rovell of all people.

Instead of talking about the franchise, which is what this was billed as, it was all about MJ and the same old "he's a competitor who struggles having to be away from the game," schtick that has been used since he has retired.

Zero acknowledgement that he possibly turned a corner by letting go of those "bad owner" habits by releasing Rod Higgins and letting Cho build this team or that he has completely revitalized the NBA in this market where it was dead for so long by bringing back the Hornets and making them a contender.

Five minutes I won't get back.

Yeah it's kind of a weird situation where the owner is  bigger celebrity than the team he owns.

Michael is a funny fellow, he's always been known as a self centered guy but he had no trouble going along with the premise that he was the story and not his team. But how many 51 year old legendary players own a pro sports franchise? Most owners are businessmen who have been versed in political correctness and answering questions in a stately manner. MJ is a baller.

Still, I like that he comes right out and says it "I want to win". So many owners you kind of roll your eyes when they say that. MJ does want to win. I'll even go along with it being more important to him than his 6th. Because everybody bowed down to him at the end of his career. Now, as an owner he's been mocked for the past 4 years. MJ loves proving his haters wrong.
