Cam's first-down celebrations really bother a lot of people. Why?

Everyone is, but most folks are just upset that we have slipped back to being the same old Panthers.

I'm not, at least that much, but I can tell you this, if we had 1 loss and were looking like the Panthers of last season, this would never have come up.

Unfortunately the same old Panthers = inability to adjust, poor gameplanning, poor execution, and poor play calling. Sure some of our players have made mental errors, but it's up to the coaches to prepare them and come up with a gameplan that gives them the best chance of winning.

Let's not forget that the "Panthers of last season" started out looking sloppy just like the Panthers of this season.

Rivera has to right this ship, it all starts and ends with him. Let's hope he's our coach for the future, because right now I'm concerned.

I see lots of issues out there, but I fully expected this type of play this offseason, and the Panthers haven't changed my mind yet.

We just aren't ready to compete with the heavy weights....and may not be for another couple years.

That may be okay with you, but I've had enough of that same song and dance.

If we keep going forward with that mindset, then we may as well replace "Keep pounding" with "Maybe next year".

We keep getting these results because we keep making the same on the cheaper end play it safe hires of guys like Rivera, and Shula. It starts at the very top. Until Richardson changes his mindset and stops living in a completely different era, I'm not sure how much will truly change.

What? You're still here?

Yeah.

So you are more fixated on some hyperbole than an overreaching view of a very miniscule issue?

I'd say your respone is a tad bit more personal than football forumz stuff.

I will say it again.

Say what you mean.

I like Cam's finger point because it gets him fired up. And it gets me fired up. If people think it's egotistical or whatever than that's on them. This is a football game not a political forum. When you're on the field you should be having fun. People need to learn to get over themselves.

And what I will present is an idea that has gotten me labeled as the demon himself out to destroy the Panthers and its fan base:

Jerry Richardson does not have to change his mindset. His stadium is sold out and he's making money off the ticket buyers, corporate sponsors, TV contract and the city, regardless of the team's won-loss record.

People on the radio, the office, and my own old-ass dad have been going off on this today. It's been the #1 topic of conversation I've seen people having after yesterday.

I think you'll find that Panthers fans that aren't on the Huddle are very different from Panthers fans that are on the Huddle.

It annoys people when we've won 1 game in the past month.  Nobody cares if we're winning.  People will care when we're losing and don't even put a td on the board.

I had someone sitting next to me say the same thing

Maybe it's because it says 'hey look at me and what I just did' in the QB position' at a time when the Panthers are just not performing that well

I don't care about TD celebrations, but every first down cam makes is a little ridiculous and I think it just works up the

Defense even more.

Or maybe it's because they would like for him to act like getting a first down is a normal event and not a surprise.

What did we used to say before every TD was a celebration, 'act like you have been there before'.

In the world of serious events, not a big deal.
