Kevin Durant responding to a criticism of Cam

Opponents' forums? I was looking at the Seahawks one and all they were talking about was how bad Cam was and how he isn't half the player or leader that Wilson is and all that bullsh(t. Like once every couple of pages someone would say "Can't blame Cam his o-line sucks, but Wilson is still better" but for the most part they were ripping him up. They're blinded by some insecurity about how their QB compares to others, which results in them not watching the game as a whole but just whether the QBs get completions or incompletions. Or in other words, idiots.

Unfortunately, based off of the Panthers, and their coaches performances, you can understand them feeling that way (though I don't agree with it over course).

Not like Wilson, had much of a great game himself. Yes he performed the game winning drive. But hell, every QB marches down the field at the end of games and scores against the Panther defense.

No I can't understand them whatsoever. To make the claims that Wilson is so much better than Cam by citing this game would mean that they didn't watch the game.

Where did you come up with those stats? Luck has a 64.8% and Cam has a 60.1% completion, and that is with 119 more passing attempts. Not to mention he has 1088 more yards, 14 more passing tds, and a 99.2 QB rating (Cam is 86.6). Look, I'm not dogging on Cam, I'm just tired of people saying how Cam is better than Luck when he is simply not. Luck is really starting to come into his own in his 3rd year, while Cam still hasn't taken that next step. He has progressed in a few areas, but overall, he will always be right in the middle of the pack when it comes to passing.

you can't use a single year to pick stats from, for a career cams pct is higher, but as I said it's only a 2 pt difference so I wouldn't even give him the edge. Looking at their careers they're virtually identical one has an edge in a few places and other has edge in a few others. I can't blame anyone for choosing luck over cam but it's not as easy of a choice as people make it out to be.

You didn't make that part clear. I thought you were talking about this year. For the rest of your post, I fully agree with. For the record, I never said that Luck was WAY better than Cam, I would just rather have Luck over Cam. To each of his own.

    • I don't really like the phrase, "moral victory". I get what's meant by it, but does that mean that if you do the opposite (play poorly but win) it's an immoral victory? 🤔
    • I blame Evero because he is overrated. Vance Joseph created the defense in Denver that he took credit for. Wilks ran the ball down his throat and Darnold had a 103.8 rtg.  Last year we were decent in yards allowed, and horrible in everything else. Only reason? We kept giving up good field position.  He's had his choice of players to bring in since his scheme is so "complicated." Maybe he should stop trying to be so fancy like running Cover 4 on 3rd and 1 earlier and focus on fundamentals like tackling. These years of Eric Washington, Phil Snow, and Evero must have gotten you confused on what a real defense looked like. Go back and watch the McDermott and Wilks years- this dude is sofT.
    • I tried to make it a point in the opening post that I don't think the offense is a finished product. I think we still need more talent at WR, better play calling, catch more consistently, elimate ridiculous penalties,  and be more consistency in scoring points. I'm just saying, they look markedly better than last year imo. They have scored 20 or more in 6 games and 30 or more in 2 games. And that's particularly notable considering they only mustered 10 points and 3 points in first 2 games of this year and they got blanked on 0 points two games in a row to wrap up last season . I'd say that's a market improvement.  I'm not crowning them and saying we have a top 10 offense or anything.  I'm comparing them to themselves in recent history.
