Positive Note? Andrew Norwell

I think for an UDFA rookie he did very well.   I am not one to normally stare down an offensive lineman in a game but seemed that when we were running the ball Norwell seemed to be really pounding some people.

 

He may have not performed too well in pass protection because when Cam drops back, my eyes are on him.

 

Those of you that have the stomach to watch this again on your DVRs.  Did Norwell play as well as I thought he did?

There were a couple of running plays that he clearly opened a huge hole for Stewart.  The announcers even mentioned him by name.

Norwell is a solid player, i like him.

He brings some toughness.  Now if we could only get a couple tackles that were as nasty and tough as he is.

 

I don't know why they don't try him at tackle.  He played there some in college.  I cannot see where he could be any worse than what we have.

He cannot be benched when Turner comes back. We should put him at RT, but we'd probably bench Velasco even though he's played pretty well.

Norwell and whoever is the best.  Velasco or Turner whoever is better.  Norwell, especially early, was really pounding some DTs.  I saw one play where he stood the guy straight up and we could have drove a bus through that hole.

i watched him acouple times in pass protection he dident do that bad there was one play he hit his guy knocked him off balance then blocked the guy that beat bell , big upgrade over silatolu

we got a steal with him! But is rivera going to be hard headed and bench him when silatolu is back?
