Beat writers speculate on DT help

I'm watching the waiver wire for one name, Chris Baker. A rookie out of Hampton University currently signed with the Broncos as a udfa. 6'2" 326, he can fit into that run-stopper role pretty well. He was solid at the combine, and if he gets cut we should jump all over him.

i think the goal is to get a vet. we are in desperate need of some experience on that line.

We are very deep at LB...and quite a decent pedigree of successful LBers once they leave us. I'd say package Diggs, Conner, Anderson, or whoever with a pick for someone (not all those LBers obviously...but pick one/two)

I just have NO CLUE what we have to offer in a trade. Stewart is not going to be traded. We finally had one of the best running games in the league last year and it was the catalyst for our offense. There is NO WAY Stewart gets traded as he is a HUGE part of that running attack. So who gets traded to get a player like Glenn Dorsey? Its going to have to be a big time player or a good amount of draft picks and I just don't know who it would be. The Chiefs need a lot of help in a lot of different places tho..
