Not..really? Good is a reliable player. Solid is just a guy. Any decent guy can step up and get a 1,000 yard season if no one else is above them. Mushin was good, LaFell is just a guy. 

 

I've never once said that LaFell hasn't played better than he ever has here, that's not my point. My point was and is that just because he put up a good game doesn't mean he's going to be the next eltie guy like this thread's trying to make him out to be. If he puts up continuous good games, then I'll eat my crow. Otherwise he's playing like he played here, just in a better system with a elite QB.

I've said the same in the other LaFell thread. I've never once said Avant or Cotch were better than LaFell. And if LaFell was here he'd probably be playing just as well as them. 

 

Well, that's kinda the point.  He's playing better up there than he did down here. You naturally have to ask yourself what that says about our FO and play calling.  Maybe nothing...maybe something, especially in light of what our receivers are doing.

a'ight i was aoff base when I said he sucked, I admit. 

 

but his stats don't tell the full story. He had a good game against the Bears, Bills and the Chiefs secondary stop unit.  He's only eclipsed 80 yards twice when it mattered. 

 

I'm not saying he's garbage and i was wrong for saying, but he's not a fugin' saving grace for them either. 

 

If he makes 1,000 yards that's good and all but I still by what I said. He's a solid guy, like Washington or Hartline, but that's all.

Lafell has had a great few games but I have to wait until the end of the season to determine if he was a big loss.

Rivera is beginning to appear to me to be a DC at best. That he has a defensive background is no excuse. Good coaches are aggressive all the time and always play to win irrespective of their background.

I've always like BFell but always thought he would be better somewhere else. I feel like he needs a vet QB to tell him exactly what to do. He's durable and a team player. But in Carolina we need Antonio Browns, Calvin Johnsons, and Jordy Nelsons.

yeah nope LaFell has never had a good game for us. Ever. Nope.

 

It was a blowout in Chicago, LaFell not now, nor has he ever been a good or great WR.  He's suck through 7 games for the Pats but uh, yeah this oen game makes him the next Anquan Boldin, I guess.

 

Yea if you discount his 119 yard 1 TD game and the 97 yard 2 TD game then yea he's sucked through the first 7 games of the year.

LaFell had his fair share of big games in Carolina. Problem is, he would show up one week and then disappear the next. He was never consistent. Just consistently inconsistent.
