Does Cam deserve "the contract" based on this season?

I'd love to have him continue to be our QB but not for what he wants.  He's not playing at a high level.  Like I said in a previous thread.  It's either good Cam or bad Cam.  Lately it's all been bad Cam.  Right now he's about as consistent as Cutler.

 

At this point I'm leaning towards putting more talent around a QB, not signing a QB with poor talent around him.

The only time Delhomme starting to get bad was after his elbow gave out on him during that Falcons game. After that his throwing wasn't never the same. But before that Delhomme was a good QB. He needs to go back to the beginning of the season where he was playing better from the pocket. All of a sudden he can run and his passing game is off. Not a coincidence.
