Car insurance. 6 months after getting my license I got a ticket and my dad took my license away. Up to that point he paid for everything, gas, maintenance, insurance...

Ticket was the end of that. 6 months later I got a job bagging groceries at Food Lion and was mobile once more.

my first "real" paycheck was when I was in boot camp - we had 8 weeks of pay which for an E-1 was about a thousand dollars or so. Bought a boom box like the one in my signature before leaving San Diego, it was enormous. Along with a few tapes.

I saved it. My parents made me buy my own car so I saved all my paychecks for that. FYI never make your kids buy their own stuff. Life is competitve and you're just handicapping them.

this brings back good memories of all the guitars i've had over the years.  first acoustic was at the age of 12. 13 when i got a squire strat.  15 when i got a mexi tele.  traded it straight up for a japanese mustang.  put down the mustang towards a 2nd mexi tele with upgraded pickups.  was 19 before i saved up enough for a gibson sg standard.  kept this until i 23 and sold it.  ended buying an american tele (this was my favorite guitar hands down).  for some un-godly reason i sold the tele and played acoustics for a few years.  ended up with another gibson sg.  i think it's a fake but it's a pretty bad ass guitar.  upgraded to grover machine heads and put 57 classics in neck and bridge.

(not sure of year) 2nd musicman hd-130 with line 6 4x12 (2012 - 2014)
