What did you buy with your first ever paycheck?

I didn't go right out and buy it with my first wendy's paycheck, but my first purchase was a piano keyboard so I could play with a number of different bands.  Because the ladies love a keyboard player, I got laid all the time.

Worked as labor for a dairy farmer.  Did everything from helping him milk, set fence posts, clear rocks out of fields, make hay, clean the barn and chicken coop and etc. Real ass busting work.  All for $ 1 an hour.  I bought a nice little arctic cat 80 cc dirt bike.  I loved that thing and rode it till the wheels fell off.

I broke a window at my grandfather's house hitting a baseball when I was 13, after he had specifically told me not to be doing it.

My first job was counting the bricks on his 2 story house for $10/hr. It took me 7 times to get the correct number. I worked 22 hours in one week. When I was finished I received my $220, tax free! Then I got to go to the hardware store and buy my very own double pane window! When we got home he even let me install it! Then he took the remaining few dollars I had left over as gas reimbursement for driving me. Oh, and when I say it was my window- it really was my window. Every time I visited him thereafter he would give me a bucket and tell me to go wash "my" window.

That was the very last time in my life I ever disobeyed my grandfather. I sure do miss that crazy old man.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
