Gameplan for Wilson?

Only bc he refuses to stay in even with protection...

Most young QBs get hammered for that. National guys praise him.

 

That's because his protection which last year was ranked 32nd dead last and this year is 26th and dropping is so bad. If you paid attention last week you would have seen him stay in the pocket a lot. However as I have told others believe what you want however know the reality is he is very very good inside the pocket and does it a lot inside the pocket when he can despite the bad pass protection. AS I said his QB rating inside the pocket is over 100 and his complt% is over 64. Both a great numbers. But as I said believe what you want, I came here to give my opinion and I agree keeping him in the pocket is best but not for the reasons you think as the stats facts ad eye test shows he can beat you in the pocket and has. You guys would not be the first to make this mistake. Denver did that in the SB and all Wilson did was set a SB record

I don't think he played us all that awesomely.  He didn't make any mistakes, and he got a lot of yards, but most of it was between the 20's.  They had very few points, and no Touchdowns.  They were terrible in the Red Zone.  His play was adequate, not awesome.  Their defense and a critical fumble on our part cost us the game. 

 

Hmm a 76 complt%, over 115 QB rating over 300 yards and 9.70 ypa is great oh and he has a td too. You guys really hate giving anyone credit for anything.

I don't have anything against Wilson per say, and I give him a lot of credit in other games.   Awesomely though means something special.  Cam played awesomely against Cincy a couple of weeks ago.  WIlson played awesomely in the last drive against Denver at home.  Four field goals is not playing awesomely, regardless of who the opponent is.

Fine line between awesome and boneheaded. Wilson did some dumb things....that worked out.

We need the ends to seal the edges and like the tackles do their job in the middle. The corners need to start at the line with no cushion and strategically bump on some plays. The line backers need to put hands on the tight ends and bump their slot routes to throw off the timimg. Every tackle needs to be a lay the wood type tackle. Now there's the game plan and they should stick to it.

The DTs have got to step up. We need pressure up the middle on him. If he gets out of the pocket then let TD and Keuch clean it up.

He also got lucky. Like when he blindly would throw up balls on 3rd in long not even looking and it would land on the hands of a WR

 

I remember at least two plays last year where he did that against us.  Drove me crazy.
