Question for couch coordinators...

I think we are actually setup better to run a WCO offense... Possession receivers whose route running would best be used with timing routes, RBs that can catch out of backfield (Stew & Fozzy), and a bad OL that requires a quicker passing scheme..

The only real question is if Cam is too stupid to pick up on reading defenses and if he has proven whether he can adapt his game around the scheme... All of which I think he would be fine, esp with more practice in such a scheme...

 

 

Only WR on the team that ran a WCO is Avant.

 

 

 

Not to mention, short timing throws aren't really Cams bread and butter.

The three tight end set that was killing Cincinnati would've been great on green bay but didn't see it once it's actually funny because I've been calling for that formation since last year when new England did it on us and we couldn't stop it but honestly that formation and no huddle is almost a guaranteed score for us

Coryell is predicated on both running to set up the pass, and passing to set up the run.

Defenses were scared of what Rivers could do to them on the outside, that creates running in the middle.

Defenses don't seem to be as afraid of Cam on the outside, the inside however makes them pretty nervous.

That was a HOF rush attack. Rivers wasn't creating it. They could of just lined up and played ball control.....the way you dream of.

im a offensive coach for a highschool jv football team . i would honestly use cam for his speed , our qb basil djombolic  is similar to cam , fast tall dude , i use him on roll outs ,obv read option and draws but everyone knows that.

Cam isn't a WCO QB. Doesn't make much sense to take your best weapon player and run a scheme that plays to his weakness

 

perfectly aware of fans feeling it's a massive limitation of his, but I feel like it's not out of his grasp to execute it.  

 

 

after all, playing off Cam's weaknesses may be more beneficial than trying to cover up bigger holes we are dealing with now..
