Another Hardy Thread....

Does everyone really think Hardy has been keeping up in his workouts? He knows he probably is not playing this year.

Hardy strikes me as a guy who takes pride in his body. He's posted plenty of pictures on twitter/instagram of his physique. I doubt he's given up working out just because he's not playing. It's not like he comes into OTAs out of shape, so why would this be much different.

He's also a nut, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing something like taking HGH while he is free from being tested.

The bottom line is that Hardy was and is a loose cannon. He embarrassed a franchise and an owner whose bedrock is against domestic violence stemming from the "original sin" of one Rae Carruth. This plus his defiant attitude and quest for top dollar has ruined what was a promising career here in Carolina. He will go on to another place but after things like this it's almost impossible to regain form. He's dead and gone guys. Time for us to move on.

PS: no one is more upset about it than me. I loved the player, not the person.

Ya know, when I sit and think about it, it's not just the loss of Greg Hardy that has hurt this defense. It's Hardy being gone and two other issues....

1) The loss of Mike Mitchell. While spotty in pure pass coverage, Mitchell was a big hitter with a nose for the football in both the run and passing game and brought an attitude to the defense that hasn't been there this season. I knew we would miss him dearly.

2) The suspension of Frank Alexander. Laugh, but Alexander would be starting right now and was a naturally talented athlete in his own right. It took Hardy three years to break out and Alexander was on course for the same as this is his third year and I fully expected him to take over for either Hardy or Johnson after this season.
