Division Title at 7-8-1?

As hard as I been on this team, and continue to be, if we can get our defense to playing respectable ball, I see us getting at least 10 wins this season.  We get Norman and Bene back, we get D-Will back, perhaps Hardy, I like us as a threat in the playoffs. (If we win the division and make the playoffs, we could also see Tolbert back in the mix.  The only question mark that would be left in all that, is our offensive line.  I believe we need to experiment a little bit.  Take Bell out and put Foucalt (sp) in.  Perhaps take Chandler out and move Bell back to RT.)  Shake ups need to happen right now, we're still in the mix baby!

Historically, the team hasn't been able to "turn it around". Year after year it's the same poo and some skepticism is ok.

Actually every year under Rivera we've started out slow and turned it around to finish out the year pretty damn good. This year we got to a much better start than 2011 and 2012 and arguably 2013 though we were showing improvemnt by this point in the season last year. I would bet a hell of a lot of money that we get atleast 8 wins. Whether that'd win the division or not I don't know.

Getting In the playoffs anyway possible is what we need to concern ourselves with! We will get a lot of injured players back later in the year, plus the possibility of the Kraken being unleashed and suddenly we are a team no one wants to see in the playoffs! With the exception of last year, the playoffs have been about getting hot and healthy at the right time:

2007-2008 Giants started 0-2 finished 10-6  2nd in the NFC East

2008-2009 Arizona(lost but were in the superbowl) finished 9-7

2010-2011 Packers finished 10-6 won superbowl as 6th seed

2011-2012 Giants won Super Bowl at 9-7 after starting 6-6

2012-2013 Ravens won super bowl at 10-6 after losing 3 straight games in December

Getting healthy at the right time and getting in the playoffs is all that matters, if the D can get its act together and be even half what it was last year we could make some noise, Im not counting us out

If we won the division I would dance on my rooftop.

I don't care if we win it at 6-9-1

But I don't think 7-8-1 is going to cut it.  The Saints are better than the are playing and are going to go on a run soon.  9-6-1 might get it done though

Oh I completely agree, I really believe that the Panthers will get their poo together because I think the biggest thing plaguing the team is fundamentals (tackling).  Once thats taken care of, our defense will be decent, not elite like last year, but good enough for us to win the division given our offense.  The thing I thought of about was how many people made such a big deal of the back to back winning seasons in the offseason, saying even missing the playoffs with a winning record, it would be considered a win for the organization. So question, would there still be a letdown if we would win the division, but fail in our quest in back to back winning seasons again?

Seriously?  The Panthers have never turned a bad start into a good finish?  It is sad when posters do not even know the history of the Panthers yet comment like the do.
