Nothing against the guy, but I have never seen a player look as bad as Godfrey has the past two weeks.

Voth posted a statistic earlier that said teams were 10/11 going at him the last two weeks. That's atrocious, and it doesnt even include the missed tackles, penalties when he was beat, etc etc.

Teams knew they could go at him.

There's nothing to "figure out." The entire secondary was already being "trashed" and the rest of the trash is still around.

Godfrey was god awful last week against the Bengals. Andy was hunting for him. He just didn't have anything left. 

 

I'm not going to hate him because he was overpaid. There isn't a single person alive who would have looked at that deal and said "nah marty I'm not that good."

No idea. I never had him even making the team back in August.

I don't think lost necessarily; like I think Harper knows where he needs to be. If you watch the Nelson touchdown against the Packers, harper knew exactly where and what he needed to do, he just couldn't physically do it.

 

Decoud, on the other hand, may never have played organized football before.

If Harper makes it through the season without being cut or completely doing a 180 I have to start thinking we're having a Gettleman vs Hurney guys problem. I can't imagine that Godfrey would have played worse than Harper at SAFETY this year. If we were going to cut Godfrey it should have been done in the off season. If we keep Harper as the starter and he continues to play at this level then it's plain to see how the old guard are getting cut for the new... even when the new guys are older than the old guys.
