This was addition by subtraction, no need to sign anyone, we just made ourselves better.

Haven't read all 16 pages, but this move opened the door again Lester and a 2nd year tackle, that's right a lineman, to the practice squad.  OT Martin Wallace.  Wallace may never see the field, but at least we've finally signed someone who said they could play Tackle.

One good thing that will come of this is when Wilson is looking like the next GOAT this Sunday we won't just see post after post bashing Godfrey the whipping boy. Then again I could see Norman have a single penalty or maybe missing a tackle and the Huddle blowing up and blaming him again, even though he's obviously our most talented DB next to White (who apparently is the coaches whipping boy for some reason?).

Not a Cason fan but truthfully think the primary struggles of the secondary are a product of Godfrey (who is gone) and Harper. Harper just looks disinterested. He needs to realize he doesn't play for the Taints anymore. Time for Keuch and TD to get in some grills and demand effort for tackling.

However, that won't help with Harper's obscene coverage deficiencies...

My ideal secondary would be Decoud, Lester (if nothing else he gives great effort every play), White, Bene, and Norman. Cason and Harper have just been beaten too much this year to keep them on the field.

But, I've seen the worst of the worst start on a team that I love only to not even being playing in the league the next year. From Mark Anderson who came in as a promising and rising FA to older vets that maintained solid careers in Buffalo with very good numbers -Terrel Owens. I've seen my team try to make a statement by cutting players, benching players and other ridiculous moves - Steve Johnson a few years ago under Gailey and Dareus last year. The messages never work. They only reflect on the front office. Nothing to do with the coaches. Coaches can only play the best they have at any position.

Godfrey was not all pro, not all conference, not all division. But he was the best at his position. To earn him the spot.

He was an UDFA by the Browns.  Was on the active roster last year, but was inactive for 15 games.  Only active for the last game of the 2013 season.  From pictures I've seen of him from college he was playing RT.
