Defensive Changes

Rotate all CB's. Seeing how nobody has established being 1, 2, 3, 4 Bene, Norman, White, Cason all should be moving on the field

Put Tre in for DeCoud and move Godfrey back to S for Harper. Yeah I said it. Godrey at Free, Tre at Strong

Start Addison instead of Horton, no buts (ugh) Short instead of Colin (double ugh)

Seriously start thinking about some 3-4 looks.. Just some new looks we need without Hardy. This D is flat out too vanilla and too easy to gameplan against at this point. Rivera said he let his coordinators handle their jobs, but Rivera & McDermott need to put their heads together and develop some blitz schemes or something

One thing about Rivera that's sad is in 2011 and 2012, Rivera didn't make changes until the season was clearly over and then we started to win. Any other HC in the league would be fired for constantly playing Nakamura

Can't get being Godfrey being on the field at any position. Would rather play Colin Jones. Also we have chemistry, chemistry of suck. Time ain't going to fix the problems with Harper and decoud. I guess we shouldn't be surprised that decoud is a pussy that wants no part of hitting anyone. Look where he came from

you guys understand we practically have a new secondary right? takes time to learn the system. You think these guys play football because of their high IQ's and ability to grasp alot of knowledge and apply it immediately? lmfao

System has nothing to do with having no desire to hit anybody (decoud) and no speed to keep up with anybody (harper)

I wish Quentin Mikell wanted to play another year.  I thought he was a good SS.  Much better than Harper.  Still mind blowing to me that he has 3 ints.

I think Decoud is okay at FS but he needs to stop playing soft.  I don't understand how you can play safety and not wanna lay wood.

At CB it's clear things need to be stirred up a bit.  I really would like to see Norman and White with Bene as nickel.  Cason at this point has shown me why Charger fans were warning me.

And we need to dial up blitzes when we aren't doing well with the 4 man rush.  Sitting back in a zone only works when you get pressure.

What was the secondary last year long time buddies???

Everybody was new last year except Captain. Some were even new to pro football. 2 starters Just coming out of college.

These guys were suppose to be long time vets able to pick up a system quickly.

This is not a excuse.

I said it in another thread oddly similar to this one but I will say it again. Carolina needs to stop making changes and let the players they have develop chemistry together.

thats alot easier said than done because whenever you lead your division miraculously somehow with stll one of the worst defenses in the league you have to put in perspective or realize that the Saints are a top three offense in the NFL.

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
