Making A Trade... Safety on the block(Titans)?

I think where we need the most help is on the defensive line.  If we can't get to the QB or stop the run, it doesn't matter how good our offensive line is.  Our offense isn't designed to put up points.  If we make a trade, it should be for a DE.

I don't think we can do that without making a permanent move with Hardy and Alexander. Those guys are probably better than anyone we could trade for.

Long term I don't think either of them will be here next year.  If we could get JPP on the cheap, that would be awesome.

"Our offense isn't designed to put up point"

This is a huge issue. We have one of the most talented young QBs in the league and the league is transforming itself into high octane offense all the time. They'll keep changing rules until the get the offensive excitement they want. So... can anyone explain to me why in the fug we don't wake up and get onboard????

Why would the Giants let him walk? Has he demanded a trade?

No, but perhaps the Giants would entertain a trade for him.  His last three seasons hadn't been spectacular, also coming off an injury season last year.  I could see them letting him go for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.  Personally I would offer the 3rd and bargain there.

That's my biggest fear for Cam being signed long term.  Why pay the man 160 million, if this is what he's going to be working with?  Plus even if we got rid of Rivera tomorrow, we will simply hire another defensive minded guy to replace him.  I wouldn't be against trading Cam for a bunch of picks for that reason, as hard as it would be.

If we traded Cam, it would be a clear indication that this franchise has no desire to actually compete and it's simply a business venture. That's not a franchise that I would continue to support as a fan.

I would have to jump ship too. But I couldn't go to a team with a winning record. Jaguars shape it up

I'm sure that is how Cowboy fans felt when Herschel Walker was traded to the Vikings.  Yet they built a team that won 3 superbowls.
