I would have agreed in the past but with the way things have gone the past two years, I think its Gettleman's call. Obviously JR has to sign off but you know letting Smitty go was all Gettleman. I think JR gave Gettleman the keys, in hopes of winning a Superbowl.

A change of some type definitely needs to be made. We drafted Cam but have been trying to build an elite defense for the last 4 years and now they are worst in the league with a neglected offense not being far behind. Riveras plan has failed or is failing and we are coming up on 5 years with this new regime, if you think that is overreacting as a fan you are just blind.

Admittedly haven't watched that much Auburn this year but isn't it pretty much the power run game we always have tried to run on steroids out of the spread?

Obviously it's probably much more complex than that but that's the one thing I remember being impressed with from the Iron Bowl. A seemingly unbeatable Alabama defense looked mortal when they got in the hurry up.

Gettleman has good experience with an offensive coach in Tom Coughlin, so I could see him going that route.

College coach though? Sincerely doubt it.
