Gotta have a defense and ball control philosophy in this conference. We compete against two dome teams in an NFL centered on scoring. Do the math there.

Cam was drafted to convert third and long 10 times a game, not compete for a scoring title and not to chuck it all over the field for 40+ points.

Why in all this time is this simple math so hard for you guys to digest? It's like you see it. You complain about it. You wonder why it doesn't change. But then you still don't see it.

For every Chip Kelly there are tons of Lou Holtzs, Steve Spurriers, Nick Sabans and a bunch others.  Look at the problems that Harbaugh is having right now with players not buying into his college mentality.

 

We have a long history of hiring guys with no head coaching experience even though they had plenty of coordinator experience and we have 5 winning seasons in 20.  Then again when we did hire a former head coach that didn't pan out either.  Still it makes little sense to take a chance on an totally unproven guy when there will be plenty of other options that are proven quantities.

 

Lets ignore for the moment that the job won't be open next year anyway.

I really hate Gus' offense.  You have two great receivers, and he's barely using them.  It looks like a quirky run/trick play offense.  Not that Gettlemen would get behind bringing him in, but it would be a travesty to even consider it in my esteemed opinion heehee.

 

Furthermore, I see he has no depth when it comes to the passing game.  I see nothing but deep passes and screens.  So it's read option runs, trick plays, deep passes, and a mix of the three.  Where are the curl routes?  Where are the check downs?  Where are the intermediate throws?  Gus' offense is complete garbage.  Why yall like this guy again?
