Malzahn has absolutely no experience as a player, coordinator or head coach in the NFL.  In fact he has only been a head coach for 2 1/2 years, one at Arkansas State and one and a half at Auburn.

 

So if you want to say he could be an offensive coordinator in the NFL that is a stretch but not unprecedented or unheard of. But to think he could be a head coach and replace Rivera is sheer stupidity.  Look at almost any successful college coach who has transitioned to the pros and he has either played in the NFL, coached as a position coach or otherwise had some experience at this level.

Serious? This place has the most negativity and malcontents since 2010. Coincidentally I haven't felt this bad about our overall coaching since then either. At least in '11 and '12 we still had hope for growth in that aspect, but once regression sets in its hard to reverse that momentum.

honestly fiz was the one of the most objective posters on here that I agree with. I've been watching football for a long time and been posting on here for 8 years so seldom does any poster open my eyes to anything but I felt he did as well as PhillyB. He doesn't just indiscriminately want everybody fired every year like some posters do nor does he crusade in the name of the status quo no matter how bad the product is like a number of posters here do either

Gotta have a defense and ball control philosophy in this conference. We compete against two dome teams in an NFL centered on scoring. Do the math there.

Cam was drafted to convert third and long 10 times a game, not compete for a scoring title and not to chuck it all over the field for 40+ points.
