Rivera is Losing the Team

Because Calvin Johnson just destroyed us in week two.

Is it too much to ask to have an ounce of perspective? A bad game against the best qb in the game. We aren't the first to have that happen and certainly won't be the last. .500 with one game left in the worst stretch of our schedule.

Have you not watched any of the previous 5 games? It's not just one bad game. What have they done in the past 5 games to offer us any hope this year, huh? Teams are continually putting up 30+ points on us and our offense is already mediocre at best. Don't let the Bengals and Bears game fool ya, if it weren't for Cam in those, we would have been blown out as well.

Last year the team was definitely more together. Win or lose, they had good body language every week. Now you see guys on the first drive of the game and everyone is looking at each other. Everyone is blaming each other. Mental errors are way way way up. Effort is way down.

I'm not going to say why, I'm not a mind reader. But you can see it clear as day.

Between not standing up for Greg Hardy, not showing faith in your offense last week against the Bengals on that 4th and 1 in overtime, being hypocritical by benching one player for their performance but then allowing another who is equally playing as bad stay in, etc., it is looking like the players just don't care anymore. It just looks like they aren't playing for him anymore. I think last year's success has clouded eveyrbody's memories that this is Rivera. This is what he does. Besides that one winning season, he has been incompetent at best for 3 years. Looking competent for one season out of 4 is not good and I think he will be canned along with the rest of the coaching staff after this season.

Man I'm with u. I been feeling like he lost the team for a while, but also think the team has lost the heart and well. The team don't believe in one another. They players are playing for their self, not the person beside them or as a team. They don't believe in one another. Rivera problem is be believes and has to much trust in his defense. This game told me a lot. At the beginning he gave the ball to greenbay putting pressure on his defense from the start. Every game he puts to much pressure on the defense. He don't know poo about offense. He isn't a good time manager and he lets Shula sorry ass control that. If I was a player I wouldn't believe in my coach at all.

Lol I'm sorry I can't help you. Maybe at some point this week when the frustration from this single game has passed you will look at the standings, our upcoming schedule, our injury report, or something else and see that the sky is not falling like you think it is.

That's all I'm trying to say. You said it perfectly.

If you are this blind to realize that our team has MAJOR holes all the way around, then it is you who I can't help. And I have looked at our schedule, I have looked at our standings, what I have also looked at is our asses getting handed to us on defense regularly, while our offense decides to show up every other game.

Bullsh*t. It's great to know that if we were to get to the playoffs that we would automatically be screwed if we played a 3-4 defense. Anyway, what does a 3-4 defense have anything to do with our defense getting shitted on?

playoffs??? Have to win first not get there by default from everyone else's losses!!

Y'all can keep yapping about how everything is going to be ok, but we have been blown out in the last 3/5 games. Getting blown out constantly shows that players have given up on their head coach. Keep making excuses while we keep getting blown out. You say we have an easier schedule ahead, but I honestly don't see another win on our schedule.
