1. Cam was off most of the day. He had too many high passes.

 

2. We had to throw because the run was taken away from us because of the scores our defense allowed so early on. You can't dig yourself such a big hole and claw your way out every time.

 

3. Our secondary, at least the guys playing the majority of the reps, is pretty average to terrible.

 

4. Our offensive line, while showing some signs of improvement, still leave a lot to be desired.

 

5. Bersin should be higher on the depth chart at WR. He runs great routes and hasn't shown me anything to lead me to believe he can' catch tough throws.

 

6. The refs were terrible.

 

7. Our depth and talent level on the DLine has taken an obvious step backward.

 

On that list of my immediate thoughts yesterday, I can only really fault Gettleman with two. I could see maybe two and a half.

 

We could have done more in the secondary and in the trenches, but we've had some injury woes and off the field issues (Hardy and Alexander) there.

Great idea! Fire a GM two years into a rebuilding program and start it all over again.

That's how the Raiders do things. Its working for them, right?

As far as on this team? Lots of guys. As far as GMs, Bill Polian wasn't bad. Hurney would've been great if salary caps didn't exist.

Even then, I would've preferred Jacksonville's strategy of going young first rather than going vet-first and sucking for what seemed like an eternity.

Mitchell was a head hunter, you need one of those on your team. Decoud avoids contact the same way a little kid that doesn't want to play does. He gambled and it backfired on him. Sorry but your logic does not make since. Both of those players got major pay days in a total of over 10 million guaranteed combined. No way we could have matched that or even got close. How much did we pay for our FA signings in guaranteed money? 0, nothing, nada.

Players are more likely to take less money when the GM isn't an arrogant asshole. I don't think Captain was a major money thing. Players want to be paid and when they perform they should. Dollar Dave too busy telling guys how much they aren't worth. That will have people jumping ship real quick. The main reason Bell is playing LT right now is because he undervalued Jordan Gross into a paycut.
