the official "ron fuging sucks" thread

Recommended Posts

Ron himself can call the perfect play on defense that isn't gonna make Roman Harper decide to wrap up. This team has shown passion since the 49ers game. I think part of the problem is the leadership of our DBs are mercenaries and at the end of the day they aren't true panthers and they are only gonna give so much. It happened last year in the playoffs when Drayton Florence stood and watched Kapernick run in for a TD. Mike Mitchell doesn't count in this, he was obviously ready to be a panther for life. However I wouldn't have ditched Hardy to keep Mitchell.

Ron needs to sit Harper for Boston. Regardless of experience Harper is too slow and isn't going to capitalize off the D-line this year. I'd rather have someone who is athletic and is willing to lay the wood back there, even if they give up yards. We need young guys to come in and bring some passion back there.

I'm all in on this thread. Rivera is a joke.

His team is unprepared, soft, and I am so tired of watching his little "hard-workers" continue to flounder and drown in the face of actual talent.

1 winning season in 4 is unacceptable.

Fire him.

While by no means do I think Ron is an elite level coach.  This has to do more with being cap strapped and being able to afford 0 talent because of Hurney.

We may not win a playoff game for another 5 years.

We have to let those god awful RB contracts clear up, then we have to develop draft picks, and then we might actually be able to afford some decent talent on the Oline and the secondary.........and RB for that matter.

Hey question. How can it be a "personnel problem" when even our star players are sucking?

I think you just proved everyone's point that it is a personnel issue.

If Luke was playing good and Harper was still playing bad I'd certainly question the coaches for not making a change.

However, the entire team looks like horse.

There is not one person that you can look at and say "it's your fault".

The team as a whole has poo'd the bed.

Yeah it's not like I've worked for an NCAA DI football team been in the locker room during the good/bad, seen the practices/games, spent nights at the facility to get work done, etc...

Yet I'm an idiot and no nothing about MY ACTUAL JOB.

You could be a NFL head coach but you'd still be wrong if you think none of these issues are coach related. If your team isn't disciplined, you can't call a play that works, can't manage the clock, players don't know routes, calling plays that don't play to your strengths or the opposing teams weaknesses, and finally ignoring issues of a player/players and still fielding them without acknowledging their bad play.

Marty Hurney hasn't been here for some time now. It's time to stop blaming him. For some reason we are the only team in the league that has to scrape the absolute bottom of the barrel in spite of the fact that most teams in the league are facing some kind of cap dilemma
