Don't buy the hype, there is enough money to pay players. This idea that the running back contracts have ruined our cap situation is convenient for the front office/owners box but it isn't true. Ever notice how other franchises make big signings, sometimes they turn out to be mistakes, but they manage to restructure deals and continue to sign players the next year? Unless, of course, you don't want to spend money on players.

There's cap room to sign NFL level tackles and corners and give our QB an extension. But if instead you surround the QB with replacement level players and set him up to fail, then you don't have to commit to him long term. And the TV contract money just keeps rolling in. And that, son, is how you read a pie chart.

Dude. We are still paying Jordan Gross, Jon Beason, and Steve smith. It's not just the running backs.
