dumb question because even though the obvious answer is "no" there is an obvious heavy representation of the lowest socio-economic bracket in walmart shopping pictures.

I think it's just sense of humor and personality rather than trying to be mean. I'm poor, I shop at wal mart, and I have things about me people make fun of and I can laugh at myself for them. Not only that but I am a strong believer of willpower, people live how they want to live. People need to learn to laugh at themselves doing or wearing dumb things. Sure, there is a limit, I'd never laugh at someone with disabilities. But it's just a sense of humor and I bet the people laughing are also the ones who can laugh at themselves when they're doing or wearing something stupid too.
